Operator and contact

The operator and contact information are shown below. Contact hello@pairlift.io for privacy questions or account-deletion requests, including when you cannot sign in. Pairlift is for people aged 18 and over. The website presents the service; profiles, discovery and conversations are used in the mobile apps.

Information you provide

We process your email and account identifier for sign-in, and the profile details you choose to provide: name, date of birth, gender, city, biography, job, education, languages, photos, interests, connection intentions and discovery preferences. Fitness details include sports, experience level, frequency, preferred training days and times, chosen gyms and any optional body details already saved to your profile. We also process likes, passes, matches, conversations, blocks, reports, consent choices and account activity needed to operate the service. Gym suggestions contain a business name, address and city for review. We do not infer health, body type, sexual orientation or gym attendance from photos and do not offer biometric verification.

Why we use this information

Account, profile, discovery and conversation data are needed to provide the service you request. Optional dating preferences and body details use separate consent controls: you can turn off Dating or remove optional body details in your profile. Optional location requires an action and permission on your device. Reports and necessary security records help prevent abuse and protect accounts. We use these data for those service and safety purposes, not as a clinical assessment or medical advice. Before general registration opens, the operator must complete the documented legal-basis, sensitive-data and provider review described in the launch notice on this page.

Profiles, gyms and training times

Profile information is shown to eligible signed-in members according to visibility, blocking and connection-mode settings. Your date of birth, email, account identifier and coordinates are not shown in another member’s profile response; your age and city may be shown. Sports and the preferred training days and times you choose can appear on your profile. They are preferences, not a verified attendance record. Gym membership is self-declared. Gym visibility defaults to matches; you can hide it or allow discovery by gym. A paid feature cannot override a hidden gym or a block. There are no live check-ins.

Device location and maps

When you request nearby discovery or gym search and grant permission, the mobile app can send your device coordinates to our server. Your saved personal position is rounded on the server and used for approximate distances; the current mobile version does not round it before transmission. You can clear the saved position in Settings and revoke location permission on your device. Queries for cities, business names or search areas may be sent to OpenStreetMap services, including Nominatim and Overpass. A selected gym’s address and coordinates describe the business, not your live position. When you load an external map or open a map link, its provider receives connection information such as your IP address.

Providers and access to data

Supabase handles authentication. If you choose Apple or Google sign-in, that provider processes the sign-in and supplies the identity information you authorize. ChatGPT Sites and its hosting infrastructure provide the application server, database and photo storage. Hostinger handles messages to our professional email address. Map services process the search or map requests described above. Conversations can be read by the participants in the active match and processed by the operator to provide the service; messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Profile photos are uploaded only when you choose them. There is no HealthKit or Health Connect integration in this version. Purchases are disabled, and the current app does not collect payment-card numbers.

Retention and account deletion

Profile and account data remain in active storage until you edit or delete them or delete your account. Settings provides account deletion; if you cannot use it, email hello@pairlift.io from your account address so we can verify the request. The deletion flow removes the active profile, uploaded photos, associated conversations and interactions, preferences and app membership records, and requests deletion of the Supabase sign-in identity. Reports linked to a deleted profile currently disappear with that profile. A technical deletion record may remain to prevent reuse while deletion completes. Verified public gym business details may remain in the directory after the submitting account is deleted. Backups, provider security logs and email correspondence have separate retention: the applicable periods and international-transfer safeguards are still being verified before general registration. We do not promise immediate deletion from every provider backup.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile, hide it, remove optional body details, withdraw dating consent, clear saved location, block accounts, export your data and request account deletion without buying a plan. These controls do not erase messages or information another person has independently copied. Contact the operator for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection or consent withdrawal where applicable. You can complain to a data-protection authority, including Spain’s AEPD at www.aepd.es. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing lawfully completed before withdrawal.

Local storage, demonstrations and changes

The mobile apps keep the sign-in session in secure device storage and save interface preferences, including language and appearance. A profile draft may remain on the device while you edit it. The website may use essential hosting/security storage. This version does not integrate advertising pixels or an advertising SDK; provider logs are a separate matter. Any demonstration profiles or AI illustrations are fictional and do not represent current members, matches or results. We will update this notice when the actual processing changes; future purchases, advertising or new data uses are not enabled by this notice alone.
